Newest Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability Enhances Global Exercises

It’s the first day of training. Soldiers from across U.S. military branches and allied nation coalitions tune in to the same network to prepare for virtual exercises that simulate global warfare. Lockheed Martin’s Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability Multi-Resolution Federation WARSIM (MRF-W 7.0) lies at the center of the computer-based war simulation, uniting thousands of soldiers around the world to help address and enhance command and control of military and civil assets.
The U.S. Army uses MRF-W 7.0 technology in training exercises domestically and jointly with international allies. MRF-W software played a key role in the U.S. Army’s Global Simulation Capability and provided essential training capability in the recent Yama Sakura exercises between the US and Japan.

Using MRF-W 7.0, soldiers interact with fellow training participants from anywhere in the world allowing them to exercise greater decision making abilities through collaboration. From small brigade level units to large theater units, soldiers can practice command abilities under realistic conditions.

The latest version of MRF-W 7.0 improves simulated environments, boosts situational awareness abilities and increases the ability to monitor potential impacts of civilians on military activity. MRF-W 7.0 offers more options to create scenarios that enhance a realistic training experience. Instructors can tailor the training to meet specific requirements and include diverse training situations.
